  • You Saved Our Dog's Life and Eased her Passing

    -Mary from Huntington, NY
    Pet Name: Nikka

We found your wonderful facility when our dog Nikka was near death's door at four years old. Misdiagnosed by others for years, you discovered immediately that she was hypothyroid, and saved her life! Nikka was a wonderful dog who loved coming to the center for her checkups and, of course, biscuits. When it came time to say goodbye to her at 13 years old, the staff was unbelievably kind, caring, and supportive. We shed our tears with you on that day, and were so very grateful for your kind and thoughtful cards and letters of sympathy.

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our "Mrs. Puppy," one of the many nicknames we had for her. We will never forget your kindness, expertise and gentle approach. We highly recommend you whenever we get the chance!

  • ER visit

    -Nancy from Albertson,, NY
    Pet Name: Levi

Pet Image I came in as an emergency at 9:00 Sunday night and was there until almost 3 am. My dog was taken in right away. The Dr keep me informed and calm. I could not have asked for better care or caring from him and all the staff. As far as the pricing. They did not prey on your grief and do unnecessary testing. I found the price very reasonable.

  • Minnie and her Family are so grateful

    -Ann Silverman from Merrick, NY
    Pet Name: Minnie

After a misdiagnosis at her veterinarian's office, we took Minnie, our nine-year-old dachshund, to the emergency center where, for two weeks, Dr. Quirk and Dr. Lee found the cause of Minnie's lethargy, pain, and lameness. They worked relentlessly to find the cause of Minnie's illness. We really thought we were losing her. It started out as a low-level pancreatitis, which her own veterinarian never diagnosed, to an immune disorder. Now, Minnie is getting the medication and care she needs and she is just about back to her funny self. They were so caring and devoted at the center. Minnie and her family are so eternally grateful to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the center. We feel like they are miracle workers.

  • Thank you for saving Frankie's life

    -Jodi Ekberg from Plainview, NY
    Pet Name: Frankie

My 2nd oldest husky Frankie was diagnosed on July 7, 2015 with advanced stage Lymphoma and only given 4 to 6 weeks to live. I was devastated that I was going to lose one of my boys. Frankie is a certified therapy dog and was visiting patients at South Nassau hospital on Saturdays and helping so many people to heal. It didn't seem fair that he was doing so much good and was going to lose his life. Thankfully we found Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center of Westbury as Dr. Linderman informed us that Frankie had a 90% chance of going into remission as long as he received chemo. Thanks to Dr. Linderman and his amazing staff Frankie is in complete remission and has been able to resume his therapy dog work and visit patients at the hospital. We could never ever stop thanking all of you for saving Frankie's life. They say there are angels on earth and you and so many others who have been there to help Frankie fight for his life have proved that it is true as you are all Frankie's angels on earth.

  • Thanks to all

-Lynn and Bob Slitzan from Glen Cove, NY
    Pet Name: McTavish

Pet Image We took our elderly Scottie in early this AM for emergency care. He was having seizures during the night and we knew the end was near. We were greeted with great empathy and compassion from the professional staff. They made a very painful time for us bearable. Thank you ever so much!

  • Bright Heart saved my dog

    -Barbara McVea from Baldwin, NY
    Pet Name: Murphy

Pet Image I brought my black lab, Murphy to this hospital the day before Thanksgiving 2012. He was hit by a car and had 3-4 Pelvic fractures among other numerous contusions. I thought he was going to die. Instead he was operated on by Dr.R. Saviky and staff. I can not describe in words how wonderful my dog, myself and my family were treated by the entire hospital. They all totally understood that Murphy was a much loved member of the family. He was there almost constantly throughout the next month. I got to know everyone there and I can honestly say that each and every person there was caring, compassionate and professional. All I can say is thank you so very much .....

  • Great staff

    -Kenny from Levittown, NY
    Pet Name: Ralphy

Pet Image We had the unfortunate event of having to put down our beloved family pet on Nov 13. From the moment I carried him in to your facility myself, my pets were treated with professionalism and respect. From the women at the front desk to the doctor who walked us through the process i cannot thank you enough for helping us through this horrible event. On behalf of my family and our dog Ralphy thank you for all you did for us.
