Biography
Dr. Reiter graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. Reiter was involved in several student veterinary clubs and received a number of scholarships. She served as class vice-president throughout her four years in veterinary school.
Upon graduation, Dr. Reiter completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery as VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Reiter accepted a three-year residency position in dermatology at the University of Minnesota in 2006 and achieved Diplomate status in 2009. She has been practicing at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital since 2009. Dr. Reiter offers complete diagnosis and management of environmental allergies (atopic dermatitis) including skin testing, serum (blood) testing, and allergen-specific immunotherapy, as well as diagnosis and treatment of other allergic skin diseases (food allergy and flea bite hypersensitivity), autoimmune skin disease, alopecia, endocrine disease, chronic or recurrent skin infections, ear disease and pododermatitis. In addition to running the dermatology service at VCA West LA, Dr. Reiter enjoys teaching the interns and externs that rotate through dermatology, as well as lecturing to local practitioners.
In her spare time, Dr. Reiter enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, mountain biking, yoga and caring for her dog, Mina, a rescued Chihuahua, and her two cats, Percival and Mel, who happens to have food allergies – a perfect pet for a dermatologist!
