Biography
Dr. Smithenson is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. He provides a full range of in-house radiology services including, abdominal, thoracic and vascular ultrasound, ultrasound guided biopsies and aspirates, traditional and contrast radiography, as well as film, MRI, and CT interpretation. Dr. Smithenson received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College (University of Prince Edward Island) in 1998 and worked as a general practitioner in the Seattle area until 2000. In 2003, he completed a combined residency and Masters in Radiology at The Ohio State University. He then worked as a radiologist at Animal Medical Imaging from 2003-2005. Since that time, Dr. Smithenson has worked in both Phoenix and the Seattle area. He joins our team full time on Mondays and Saturdays, and continues to serve the community with his mobile practice Tuesday through Friday.
