  • Worth the Eleven Hour Drive

-Stormy Barton Apgar from Gallatin Gateway, MT
    Pet Name: Merlin and Nicki

Pet Image I brought my very ill cat and German Shepherd dog to VSNC all the way from Montana because I knew of their reputation as an excellent veterinary specialty hospital. The care my animals received was above and beyond my expectations. The doctors and techs worked tirelessly and lovingly to diagnose very difficult conditions. They treated me and both of my animals with an amazing amount of respect, tenderness and concern. I couldn't have made it through that very difficult time without them and they will always hold a special place in my heart!

  • A great place to take your pet

    -Robert Belz from Loveland, CO
    Pet Name: Heidi Belz

We had an emergency on a Friday night and went to VCA Veterinary Specialists in Loveland. We received the best care for our mini schnauzer Heidi from Dr. Wendy Fleischman. She was the BEST. Followup from the Dr. was excellent. She was very professional, yet kind and caring. Thank you so much. Bob, Cheri and Heidi

  • Best Care Ever

-Heidi and Aaron from Loveland, CO
    Pet Name: Jesse

The entire staff @ VCA in Loveland, Colorado has been wonderful. Our beloved dog Jesse was diagnosed with lymphoma almost a year ago. Thanks to Dr. Wendy, Lisa, and everyone there, Jesse has been doing wonderful. It has been worth every penny to have him here with us today. I don't know what we would have done without them!

  • Part of the family

    -Karen Steely from Loveland, CO

Everyone at the VCA Veterinary Specialists is very caring and knowledgeable. The doctors and techs work with you to understand what is wrong and then explain all the different options available. They are willing to take as much time as you need to understand what they need to do. The front desk staff is also very caring of your pet and you. All of the staff knows that your pet is part of the family and will work with not only the 4-legged family member, but the 2-legged ones. When the time comes that you do lose a member of your family, they also feel the loss and are there for you. Pets are unique and the staff treats all of them as if they were their own family members.

  • Saving Lady

-Lady's Mom from Ft. Collins, CO
    Pet Name: Lady

My dog, Lady recently suffered a life threatening injury to her neck and spinal cord resulting in paralysis. I was referred to a local vet neurologist, Dr. Amy Komitor, at the VCA Animal Hospital in North Loveland. She performed emergency surgery the evening before Thanksgiving to realign the dislocated vertebrae in Lady's neck, saving her life. The amazing staff there are on duty 24/7 to assist in any type of vet emergency imaginable. They were there even on Thanksgiving day providing incredible care for Lady and helping us all recover from this traumatic incident.
The most amazing part was the call from Dr. Komitor on Saturday morning (she had come in on her day off to check on Lady) telling me that Lady had begun moving her legs that morning and would be able to come home that afternoon. Monday morning, I returned to the hospital with Lady for a recheck and the doctors and staff welcomed us like family members, all so excited to see Lady and the progress she was making in her recovery.

  • Great place to take your four legged love one

-Colleen Kelly and Jake from Brighton, CO
    Pet Name: Jake and Boo

Pet Image I want to thank Dr. Green and all the staff at VCA in Loveland. 6 years ago, my lab/rottie mix needed surgery on his elbow for elbow dysplasia. Dr Fitch, who is no longer there, did Jake's surgery. He was a great surgeon, explaining everything to me and took great care of Jake. Fast forward 6 years and Jake is now limping on his other elbow. Dr Green met with us, and spent a very long time, examining Jake, and explaining everything to me very thoroughly. He was very kind to Jake in his exam. He took care of Jake like he was his own instead of just another patient. All the staff in this hospital are very loving, caring people. Even though they are about an hour away from me, I will always go to them for any special needs that we may have and will also refer them to anyone needing help with their 4 legged family members. Thank you Dr. Green for your help and the education that you have given me as well. Just to show you how active Jake is, I have included a picture of him with "his" bull, Boo!

  • Thank You

    -Sydney from Loveland, CO
    Pet Name: Decster Noodle Weddle

My son's dog, Dexster, was taken to VCA VSNC on Tuesday night, April 10, 2012. She had a very low blood count of 8...my son was told she was bleeding internally but they could not tell from where. They also told him she may not make it. Devastating news. Well, the staff not only treated Dexster with kindness caring and respect; they treated her family with the exact same care and concern. A treatment plan was in place which ultimately included surgery. Thanks to diligent care and Dexster's will and fitness, she is now on the road to full recovery. My son took her home on April 14. She is not out of the woods as yet but surgery is not indicated at this point, however, she will need blood checks daily. We really want to thank the Doctors and staff at VCA for taking such good care of our Dexster. They could not have been nicer. We will recommend this facility to any pet owner without reservation! Many, many thanks!

  • Our Miss Abby

-Bud Bunning and Kristi Jones from Cheyenne, WY
    Pet Name: Abby

Pet Image Our little Miss Abby is the smallest dog we currently have, but has the biggest attitude! She "smiles" at you when she wants something - like a treat. Her eyes are bright with mischief. She may be the only female dog in the house, and definitely the smallest, but she quickly put the other 2 male dogs - a Schnoodle and a Boxer - in their place.

When she got sick right before Memorial weekend 2011, it was heart wrenching to see her like that. It happened so fast! We took her to our local vet in Cheyenne, WY. We nearly lost her that night, due to her vitals being so low. That day, they referred us to VCA Veterinary Specialists in Loveland, CO.

Dr. Fleischman was almost 100% certain of what Abby's disease was. It was painful to hear, but she was up front and honest with us about the details. Dr. Fleischman recommended leaving Abby overnight. It was extremely difficult. I cried when we left that day, but felt comfortable that Abby was in good hands.

We went to pick her up the next day, and we could already see a slight improvement in her; even in the care of the VCA specialists overnight helped her. Within a week, she improved even more!

Here we are nearly 6 months later, and she's back to her sassy self! She has gained weight, eating better foods, playful again, and our 2 male dogs are terrified of her once again!

If it wasn't for Dr. Fleischman, and her extremely wonderful technician, Lisa, and the entire staff at VCA Veterinary Specialists, Abby would not be with us today. We will be forever grateful to everyone for the care they gave, and continue to give, to Abby.

  • My Min-Pins

    -Frances Hale from Loveland, CO

I was first introduced to VCA Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado in 2000. My Male Min-Pin was in need of a specialist. My regular Veterinarian recommended I check out VCA as they had a number of licensed Veterinary Specialists. Later my female Min-Pin required the services of a specialist. Both dogs have received the necessary excellent care and treatment for a variety of problems. I believe that both dogs were given the appropriate care that has contributed to their longevity and quality of life. The staff is warm, friendly, caring and very professional. I highly recommend the services that can be offered by VCA. Here it is the year 2011, and I am still an on-going and devoted client after eleven years.
