Wonderful Experience-Christina from Silver Spring, MD
Pet Name: Calvin
Everyone at VCA is always friendly and competent. Even the personnel at the front desk know our names. I feel very confident in the treatment Calvin is getting and would recommend VCA to everyone I know. I believe Dr. Steinberg's assistant, Yona. I think that is her name. She is wonderful as is Dr. Steinberg.
Thank you for your care-Tommy from Rockville, MD
My first visit to VCA was because my cat, Jedi, was having very serious kidney issues. He would not survive days without help. He stayed at VCA for a week where he received incredible care. He came home with me and had three more good months. They were special months that I will never forget. Thank you, Dr Stoneham, Dr Stafford, and Dr Stack for your caring and compassion for Jedi and me. Animals that receive your care are very fortunate. Also a Thanks to all the other staff I came in contact with during my many visits. Your gentle, friendly treatment was appreciated greatly.
Surgery Success-Nancy from Mt. Airy, MD
Dr. Snakard did a wonderful job of explaining how the surgical procedure would be done. The surgery was a success. Dr. Snakard did a fantastic job! Jason the technician seems to have a real love of animals!
Emergency Visit-Linda from Clarksburg, MD
The staff was very attentive and respectful. As a nurse and medical provider it was interesting to see how much this facility functions like a human hospital.
Professional and compasionate euthanisia-Bill Fulton from Clarksburg, MD
Pet Name: Sam
We have had to have two of our pets euthanized over the past 2 1/2 years and have used the Gaithersburg VCA for both. The staff and doctors were very understanding and handled it in a very gentle and caring, but professional way. For our second time, we found that they had added a "quiet room" for being with our Sam before putting him down, and they allowed us as much time as we wanted with him, there. This allowed us to spent a few last minutes with him but, more importantly, to settle him down so that when the doctor performed the procedure he was comfortable. He went very gently. I would not hesitate to recommend VCA for these services. It also seemed that they displayed the same level of professionalism and caring for other services.
Thank you-Tiffaney Williams from Baltimore, MD
Pet Name: Laceigh
I am grateful to Dr Saylor and the entire staff of VCA for taking such good care of our dog, Laceigh. When we first came to this hospital, we didn't know what was wrong with her, but her condition was steadily getting worse. My husband and I were in tears, and your staff showed us great kindness. It made all the difference to us. Dr Saylor talked us through his process and answered our questions with such compassion, which was very comforting. He took wonderful care of Laceigh. I don't know if she would still be with us if not for him. Thank you all so, so much for what you do.
Sending love back to th VCA staff-Andrea Wysocki from Germantown, MD
Pet Name: None at this time
I brought my Amigo cat to VCA this past Sunday to send him off the Rainbow Bridge. Heaven has no words for the sorrow in our hearts to lose our family member. They were so kind to my Amigo and to me. I'll never forget how they made one of the most difficult moments of my life the right decision and done with love to us both. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your staff and wonderful.
A PLUS service and care-Jenny I from Frederick, MD
Pet Name: Gheera and Maxx
I have brought my own animals to the Rockville VCA, and ended up referring the VCA to a client last night (she has a small pup who was in respiratory distress and is currently being treated at the VCA.) The dog had been admitted to an "other emergency vet" at 1pm, and as of 7 pm (6 hours later!) very little, if any, treatment had been performed. I recommended the owner take the dog from that hospital, and down to the VCA. What a difference is treatment, for both the owner and the pet! The "other emergency vet" did nothing for this dog--she was transported to the VCA, and was IMMEDIATELY seen, diagnosed and cared for. The owner is so pleased and feels she is finally getting the care for her dog she expects (and is paying for!) Joanna went way above-and-beyond in helping us get this pup down to the VCA, providing support and her time. Thank you VCA, for being my own lifeline and pet saviors, and now helping me save my client's pet too--you made a very bad experience with a very unhopeful outcome turn around; and the owner and dog are the benefactors of your dedication and expertise! Joana P, Dr. Blades and the emergency team at the Rockville VCA deserve A++!
Oliver-Janine Brookner from Washington, DC
Pet Name: Oliver
I have owned pets for over forty-five years and I have always tried to find the best veterinary care for them. Without a doubt, VCAVRA is the most outstanding veterinary facility I have used. Every vet, every technician, the entire staff are all highly qualified, caring, completely dedicated to the animals they are treating and to their worried owners. Dr. Snakard, who operated on my little dog, Oliver, for apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma is the best surgeon I have ever encountered, bar none. I am so grateful to her and the care she has given to Oliver (and me!). Yesterday, he had his first chemo treatment and from what I can determine, his oncologist, Dr. Intile, is brilliant and current in all types of veterinary oncology. She frankly answered my many questions to my complete satisfaction. I do not know how long I will have Oliver, but I do believe his survival time and his quality of life will be as long as possible because of the treatment he has had and is receiving at VCAVRA.
Two years later and still going strong-Cheryl from Silver Spring, MD
Pet Name: Shadow
In early September 2011, my dog was diagnosed with cancer. It was lymphoma, a quick-moving disease which would have killed him in a matter of weeks. Our vet referred us to VCA and I'm so glad he did. Wonderful caring staff, a doggy oncologist who really knew her stuff, and 7 months of treatment later, Shadow is still with us and acting as if he never heard of cancer. VCA worked a miracle, and we are so grateful.
