Melody Mendelsohn
Melody Mendelsohn began her career at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates on September 14, 1981 when there were four doctors in the practice and Dr. Steve Steinberg was the owner/manager and Medical Director. She was the sole receptionist at the '˜barn' and handled all administrative details involving clients and their pets.
She held the position of Office Manager and when the hospital grew to demand an Accounts/Financial Manager, she filled the position. Melody's duties currently include a multitude of tasks in several fields but her primary focus is Accounts Receivable. She is also able to indulge her passion for writing and proofing within the scope of her job.
In her spare minutes (there aren't many!), she loves musical productions; enjoys cooking; escapes with reality TV and treasures hours spent with her family. Her partner, Maggie, is an Engineering Technician for the County of Arlington. Melody has two adult daughters, one son-in-law and Sydney, her 10-year old granddaughter, an aspiring '˜star' (singer and actress) who has appeared in many area productions. To say she is a proud grandmother would be a serious understatement.
