DVM, Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine
Departments: Diagnostic Imaging

Biography

Katherine Skelly received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Biology at Indiana University and was awarded her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2001. Subsequent to receiving her DVM, she did two, year-long internships and has spent the majority of her career in an emergency and critical care setting. Her ultimate passion lies in the management of complex cases that present having multiple concurrent medical problems.

Dr. Skelly has monitored anesthetized patients via multi-parameter equipment and ventilatory support for both CT and MRI. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of advanced imaging modalities and is committed to scans of the highest quality in both positioning and technique.

In her leisure time, Dr. Skelly enjoys home renovation projects and gardening, as well as outdoor sports such as mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. Oliver, her Italian Greyhound, is more of a homebody than a sportsman, but patiently awaits for her return.
