VCA Veterinary Care and Referral Center
VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital and Referral Center was established in Albuquerque in 1982 as a multi-veterinarian general practice. Over the years, we have grown to a 21-doctor practice with well established general practitioners, board certified veterinary specialists, and intern doctors as well as a support staff of approximately 60 members. Our current hospital caseload is approximately 30,000 pets a year. Our growth has lead to a recent remodeling and expansion that now includes a 10,000 square foot referral hospital (VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital and Referral Center or VCA VCRC) dedicated to addressing the specialty and emergency needs of your pet(s). Our team of Specialty Veterinarians has advanced training in the fields of Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, and Ophthalmology, allowing us to offer the very latest in state of the art medicine. If your friend needs to be hospitalized overnight in our 1,500 square foot Intensive Care Unit, or becomes ill when your regular veterinarian is unavailable, our team of Emergency Doctors and nurses are ready to step into action.

We are an extension of your regular veterinarian. Whether your pet needs to be seen by one of our specialists or an emergency doctor, our team is there for you. Afterward, everything that happens at VCA VCRC is reported to your veterinarian in a timely manner, so that no one is left out of the loop.
