With three board-certified radiologists working exclusively from this location, and a full complement of imaging systems, our radiology department is the best-staffed one in this area, allowing us to provide the most complete and comprehensive imaging for anatomy and function available.





Our diagnostic imaging services include:

  • Ultrasonography (abdominal, thoracic, soft tissue)
  • Ultrasound guided needle aspirates and biopsies
  • Digital radiology (standard xray and contrast procedures)
  • Digital fluoroscopy (moving or 'live-action' radiographic studies)
  • 2D/3D spiral CT scanning

VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center is a fully-equipped 24/7/365 emergency hospital serving pets and their people in Northern Virginia and the greater Washington DC metro area. If you suspect your pet is having a medical crisis, our experienced team of veterinarians, technicians and assistants are here to assist you.
