VCA Southern Maryland Veterinary Referral Center Pet Loss Support
As pet owners ourselves, the staff at VCA Southern Maryland Veterinary Referral Center understand that facing a pet's serious illness or the loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. And in caring for a sick pet and having to make difficult decisions, a family must get clear information on treatment and to evaluate options. Our hospital staff is here to help explore your concerns about treatment choices and managing a sick pet at home and to help you make informed decisions about your loved one. Please know that you can count on our staff for any help or assistance you need during these difficult times. Our hospital is sensitive to our clients and cares about their needs and has a Quiet Room, where pet owners can spend peaceful time with seriously ill pets.
VCA Southern Maryland Veterinary Referral Center offers a selection of pet loss materials that can be viewed and/or printed by opening the links in our Pet Loss Document Library below. Included is a wealth of information from well-known and respected counselors/authors on the topics of bereavement and pet loss. Pet loss support resources can also be found in the 'Community Partners' section of our website under the 'Our Hospital' tab.
