  • Thank you for caring, it shows

    -Bill Stevenson from Waldorf, MD
    Pet Name: Bill Stevenson

The care our dog, Angel, received this past weekend was all any pet owner could have asked for. She contracted Lymes disease, probably from a deer tick, and was shaking, lethargic and unable to walk. Within 24 hours VCA had diagnosed, prescribed and released our dog, who is now much better.

Phew a real stressful few days.

  • Best Ever

    -Heather from Andrews AFB, MD
    Pet Name: Rusty

The individual attention my dog received from your hospital was the best he's had. He was comfortable and actually had a good time there. The vet tech was very friendly and informative. Thank you!

  • Thankful for your service

    -Ann from Mechanicsville, MD
    Pet Name: Rocky and Lucy

Pet Image I have 2 dogs, both Jack Russell Terriers that have been treated from your facility & doctors. Rocky my oldest dog was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever spent 2 nights on Antibiotics and beat this condition. Lucy is my youngest and is 6 years old now, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer at the age of 2.9 she has been in remission ever since. These dogs are my children and I would bring them to VCA any time they had a life threatening situation. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

  • A New Begining For Thor

-Helena And Rich Pettit from White Plains, MD
    Pet Name: Thor

Recently our dog, Thor, suffered a severe heat stroke while in the care of a pet facility. He was taken to VCA Southern Maryland Veterinary Referral Center in Waldorf, Maryland. It was due to the experienced doctors and the entire staff our beloved pet is alive today. During his four day stay they never once gave up on him. Their service and expertise is to be commended. Not only did the doctors and staff show compassion for our pet, Thor, but the same compassion was shown to us. Day by day we were always kept informed on his progression. This was truly an emotional times for us and we can't begin to tell them how thankful we are for their devotion and we will always hold them dear to our heart. Thor is on the road to recovery. If ever needed, we highly recommend VCA/SMVRC for your pet care. Again thank you.

  • Thank you for your wonderful care

-Lori Marks from Lexington Park, MD
    Pet Name: Bruno

Pet Image My Boxer dog Bruno was just here on 3/29/16 and stayed overnight because he ingested something toxic (we still have no clue what it was). Everyone here took such good care of Bruno. They even sent me a picture the next day to show how he was doing. When I took Bruno in, he wasn't Bruno.. They got my Bruno back. He is back to being his happy-go-lucky, butt wiggling, cookie lovin', spoiled rotten Boxer. I can't thank you enough for the wonderful care you've given him. You are mine and Bruno's heroes!

  • Thank You for Saving Cleatis

    -Susan from Hollywood, MD
    Pet Name: Cleatis

Pet Image I am forever thankful to everyone who took care of Cleatis during his long stay at your hospital. I can not thank Dr. Maa and Toni who took him to emergency surgery at 4 a.m. and pulled him through a very scary time. I was forced to face the possibility that he may not survive. All of the Drs and techs that cared for Cleatis took the best care of him, and me too- and they pulled him through. Dr. McGuire, Dr. Lewis, Dr. Shoemaker and Dr. Chaudhry gave us an update twice a day and the receptionists made sure we could visit and spend time with him daily. I also need to send a very special thank you to Dr. McGuire who helped my family with endless questions, phone calls and extra special attention because we were so distraught. She also provided special treatments to help him recover. Thank you so very much to all, for pulling him through. He means the world to us and without you he would not be with us! You are the best!

  • So very caring

    -Susan from Clinton, MD
    Pet Name: Simba

I've brought all my dogs here at one time or another. In March 2013, our husky/yellow lab mix, Simba, hurt his leg. We discovered later it was a torn ACL. He had his surgery and physical therapy at VCA. I was very pleased at the attention and kindness paid to both Simba and myself. It's always hard when your fur kid is sick or injured, but VCA was there and made things so much easier.
