Patient Referrals
To have your patient evaluated by one of our veterinary team members, please ask your client (your patient's guardian) to contact one of our administrative staff at 301-638-0988 to schedule an appointment with one of our doctors
In order to help our veterinary staff accurately assess your patient's current health status, we ask prior to referral that you please complete our VCA Southern Maryland Referral Form located at the link below and fax it to our hospital at fax (301) 638-2886. Pertinent medical records may also be faxed along with the referral form or you may have the pet owner bring with them to the appointment the medical records, radiographs and laboratory test results. If you need assistance, have questions or wish to discuss your patient's case prior to referral, please call our hospital and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you.
Emergency Services (no referral form necessary)
Please note that our hospital's Emergency/Critical Care Department is available for your patient's urgent health care needs 24 hours a day /7 days a week /365 days a year. The emergency team, staffed by a team of board-certified emergency/critical care specialists, is always prepared to help your clients and their pets whenever a medical emergency should occur.
