Biography

Dr. Michelle Politano was born and raised in the Boston area. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Biology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 1997. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Politano attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her doctorate in 2001. Upon completion of her internship in small animal medicine and surgery here at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital, she was invited to stay on as a general practitioner and senior staff member. Special interests include emergency and internal medicine as well as anesthesia and pain management. During her free time, Dr. Politano enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Politano has a special interest in dentistry. She accepts referrals for special cases including feline resorptive lesions, stomatitis, full mouth extractions, and fractured teeth. Intraoral nerve blocks as well as digital oral radiography are two of the tools that she utilizes when caring for her patients.
