Dr. Anthony Acquaviva joins staff at VCA Shoreline VREC
Dr. Anthony Acquaviva
VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is pleased to announce that Anthony Acquaviva, VMD (practice limited to surgery) will be joining our hospital's surgical team on August 15, 2011.
Dr. Acquaviva graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Upon graduation, he completed a one-year rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital followed by a one-year surgical internship at Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware. Dr. Acquaviva continued his surgical training by completing a surgical residency at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
Dr. Acquaviva is proficient in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. He has published research investigating the use of locking plates for bone fractures. Dr. Acquaviva's clinical interests include tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO), tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA) surgery, fracture management, arthroscopy, neurosurgery, and minimally invasive soft tissue surgery.
With the addition of Dr. Acquaviva to the VCA Shoreline Surgery Service, we will be able to offer surgical consultations, receive surgical referrals, and perform surgery Monday through Saturday.
As always, surgical emergencies will continue to be received 24 hours, seven days per week.
