Emily Wong, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Emily Wong received her DVM from the University of California at Davis in 2006, where she also had completed her bachelor's in animal science in 2001. Dr. Wong went on to complete her small-animal internship, focused primarily on emergency medicine, at South Paws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care in Fairfax, Virginia. Prior to joining SFVS in 2008, she was a full-time faculty emergency veterinarian at UC Davis. Dr. Wong, who grew up in San Francisco, is fluent in English and Mandarin with some fluency in Cantonese.
Outside her veterinary practice, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cats, traveling internationally, and exploring the outdoors with her dog. Dr. Wong helped create a nonprofit called San Francisco Aid for Animals and is a former SFAfA board member. This nonprofit awards grants to local veterinarians for emergency cases facing financial hardship.
