Biography

Dr. Diana Bowen received her bachelor's degree with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and concurrently completed both a master's degree in physiology and a doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of California, Davis. She completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and a residency in small animal medicine at the University of Florida. Dr. Bowen has a special interest in diseases that affect both humans and companion animals, and collaborated with physicians at the University of Florida's College of Medicine in evaluating and publishing cases of combined immune mediated endocrine diseases. A California native, Dr. Bowen spent part of her childhood in the central African country of Malawi. These childhood experiences sparked her lifelong commitment to humanitarian and environmental issues. Dr. Bowen also enjoys travel, cooking, wine tasting, biking and hiking with her husband, Dana.

  • Your location and estimated time of arrival
  • Your pet's emergency

3. Get support to safely transport your pet to VCA SFVS. If you have medical records related to your pet’s emergency, please bring those with you.
