Amalia Zacher, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Amalia Zacher received her B.S. in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). To pursue a career in veterinary medicine, she met prerequisite biology requirements by earning a B.S. in biology with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz. After earning her doctorate in veterinary medicine at UC Davis, Dr. Zacher completed a small-animal rotating internship at SFVS and a residency in dentistry and oral surgery at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is particularly interested in oral surgery and periodontal disease.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and going to the beach with her boyfriend and her dogs, Feroce and Momo, as well as traveling, biking, yoga, natural history and ethnic foods.
