  • Surgery

    -Laura Utes from Winamac, IN
    Pet Name: Roxy

My dog came to VCA after limping for about 3 months and having been told by my regular vet that she was as good as she would get. I was worried to find out that she would definitely need surgery on one of her hind legs and would most likely need surgery on the other hind leg as well. The entire staff was great! They understood that Roxy is a member of my family. They reassured me when I needed it. They answered all of my questions, and there were a lot of them. My surgeon called me to let me know how surgery went. Roxy had her second surgery in May and it is like I have my old dog back! She can now run and play just like before. Thank you so much for helping my dog! The entire staff is wonderful! I would recommend them to anyone!

  • MY VISIT AND HOSPITAL STAY AT VCA

    -Clifford Speece from Shelbyville, IN
    Pet Name: Clifford Speece

Pet Image Hi! I'm Clifford and I'm a St. Bernard. I first came to VCA this past March with a torn ACL but because I was overweight (239 lbs), I was told that I needed to go on a diet and lose some weight before I could have surgery. So, mommy tried very hard by changing my food and exercise. But my leg got much worse so on June 21st Dr. Lee operated on my leg. Mom tried 2 different time to bring me home, 1 time with the help of the fire department! But both times I had to go back because I was too much for mommy to handle by herself! VCA took great care of me, plus I had to have another operation while I was there. Today, I finally got to come home! Boy am I glad, but I'm really going to miss all my friends at VCA and can't wait to get back to see them! If you need to see a special veterinarian, Dr. Lee is who I recommend. He fixed me and I feel great - lost 39 lbs. too!

  • Miracle

    -Misty from Parker City, IN
    Pet Name: Harlee

Pet Image I am the proud mommy of a 4 1/2 yr old female Great Dane, Harlee!! Our journey with VCA Northwood began on the evening of April 21-22nd. My sweet girl was suffering from GDV (gastric dilatation volvulus) which is bloating and twisted stomach. She was rushed into emergency surgery around 2:30 Friday morning and came through like a champ! Dr Jason Matthew and his staff were absolutely amazing and I will forever be grateful for the love and care given to Harlee!

  • Many Years

    -Karen Gardner from Anderson, IN
    Pet Name: Petey Carly

Pet Image I began bringing my dog, Gracie, here in the mid 1990s. Northwood staff were there when she had to leave this world. Now I bring both my pups -- Petey and Carly -- to Northwood. When Petey was very ill last year you all were there and helped pull him through. Whenever anyone wants to know where to take their dogs, I tell them Northwood!
