Following his residency, Dr. Kroll completed a post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuro-oncology (1992-1994) and then became an Assistant Professor of Neurology (1994-1998) at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Dr. Kroll joined VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists in 2000. Dr. Kroll was one of the first neurologists to perform the cervical disc arthroplasty technique, placement of an artificial disc to treat wobbler syndrome, and is a certified instructor of this surgical procedure.
Dr. Kroll’s interests include cervical spondylomyelopathy (Wobbler syndrome), chemotherapy of central nervous system tumors, seizure disorders, vestibular disease, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, and client education.
When not working, Dr. Kroll and his wife enjoy their cat Ripley, the Oregon coast, sea kayaking, travel, photography, and gardening.
