Biography
Dr. Downes received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her veterinary degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in 2001, where she stayed on for the next six years as part of the general practice team. After moving to New York in 2007, Dr. Downes worked as an associate at a local small animal practice until joining the emergency staff at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center in 2011. She is enjoying her return to emergency and critical care medicine and loving being part of such a skilled and knowledgeable staff.
In her free time, Dr. Downes enjoys spending time with her family including her two children, her Labradoodle, her two elderly cats, a hamster, and a goldfish.
