    Katie has worked at VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists for 4 years and is currently the Front Desk Supervisor.  She has a husband named Michael, four dogs named Neo, Cloud, Dexter and Django, one cat named Karma, and one rabbit named Lola. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, working out, being outside and spending time with family. She is happy to have found a workplace that combines her love for animals with the opportunity to help support others with excellent client care.

    Michelle has been a VCA employee since 2016. She has two sons, a Chihuahua named Poppy and a Boxer/Pit mix named Duke. She stays busy working full time at a cemetery, bowling, church leadership, women's auxilary and holding the secretary position at a members only family club. Michelle grew up in 4-H and has always had a heart for animals.

    Megan Kramer

    My name is Megan. I am a receptionist here at VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists. I have been working in the veterinary field for almost 10 years now. I have a wonderful husband named Mike, a little 2 legged baby named Maddox, and 2 pit bulls named Melvin and Chopper. I love taking family walks in the evening, and playing in the back yard with all of my boys. Halloween and Christmas are my favorite holidays. I love working with an amazing group of people that show and prove that they care about animals and want nothing but the best for them and their family.

    Nicole Latosky

    Nicole has worked as a receptionist here at Great Lakes since 2012. With a teaching degree, she also splits her time between here and as a Humane Education Coordinator for a local non-profit shelter. Educating people and helping them with their animals has been a true passion of hers. She feels privileged to be able to work in an area where she can combine both the human and animal worlds. She also enjoys her coworkers, who truly make a difference and tries to save each life that comes their way. When not at work, Nicole enjoys anything food-related, spending time with friends & family, anything the color purple, and snuggling with her pets. She has two Boston Terriers; Bixie & Boston, a pug named Brutus, and two cats; Bree (Persian) & Teddybear (Himalayan).

    Cindy Podany

    I have volunteered for a number of rescues in the last 25 years. I have been a foster for momma dogs and their puppies and have enjoyed seeing them grow and be adopted. I have helped my sister on occasions who has rescued many farm animals. I have worked in the animal field for many years and would not want to work in any other field. I love spending time with my 3 dogs, Corey, Bellini, Thor & my bird Brook. In my spare time I like doing crafts

    Sara Skoczen

    Sara Skoczen has been working at VCA Great Lakes since December 2014 as a Customer Service Representative.  She has a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and is currently enrolled at Cuyahoga Community College to receive an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology, Business Management, Liberal Arts and Science.  She wants to some day be a veterinary pharmaceuticals representative.  She has a Belgian Shepard named Frank, a Golden Retriever named Marie, and a Chihuahua named Peanut.  She has two cats named Smelly and Phoebe and two gerbils named Slick and Squeaky.  She is very excited to be working at an establishment that encourages her love for learning new things.

Your emergency needs can be met right here at our hospital.
VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialist provides 24 hour emergency veterinary care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or veterinary assistants are on staff 24 hours a day.

We provide the highest standard in veterinary emergency and critical care services. We are trained and equipped to perform a variety of emergency surgeries and procedures. We provide the highest standards of pain management. Emergency internal medicine consultations, including full diagnostics, are available.
