  • Technician Supervisor

    Joy King
Veterinary Tech School: Los Angeles Pierce College

I've been with the Internal Medicine team for nearly 10 years. I enjoy working closely with the doctors and nurses, developing relationships with our patients and clients over the course of the pet's therapy. Our team creates a wonderfully nurturing environment where many of our nurses go on to veterinary school. With the leadership of our doctors and study-oriented nurses, we are consistenly pursuing up-to-date treatments to improve our knowledge base and standard of care. In my time at VCA, I participated in a double-blind study for Pimobendan, a cardiac drug, now approved for use in the United States. As a nursing supervisor, I have been involved in training the staff on some of the Internal Medicine procedures within the hospital including endoscopy and chemotherapy. Some of my personl interests include photography, playing with my dog, Alina, and I've been a life-long passmember at SeaWorld.
