    David Stromberg
    School: Cal Poly SLO, Animal Science

    After obtaining his BS in Animal Science from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo in 2000, David moved to San Diego. He began working as a veterinary technician in private practice, and then moved to the Animal Dermatology Clinic in 2001. Starting as a veterinary technician, David quickly became involved in management of the Animal Dermatology Clinics until he became the regional operations manager. After 10 years, he was managing 11 full time and satellite locations. During his time with Animal Dermatology Clinic he was responsible for the construction and set up of 4 new hospitals.

    David has great respect for VCA and is excited to be joining the VCA family. When not at work, he enjoys fishing, mountain biking, and spending time with his family.


  • Referral Manager

    Mick Myers

    Mick Myers joined VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in July of 2008. He is responsible for acting as the liaison between the hospital and referring veterinarians ensuring a timely transfer of records from our hospital to your veterinarian.

    Prior to joining VCA, he spent over 25 years in the financial services industry serving as Vice President of Asset Management for Capital Associates and Comerica Bank in Denver Colorado. After leaving the banking industry, he owned and operated an ice cream and coffee shop located in Old Town San Diego.

    He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism/Public Relations from the University of Wyoming.

VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Ctr. provides 24 hour emergency veterinary care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or veterinary assistants are on staff 24 hours a day.

We provide the highest standard in veterinary emergency and critical care services. We are trained and equipped to perform a variety of emergency surgeries and procedures. We provide the highest standards of pain management. Emergency internal medicine consultations, including full diagnostics, are available.
