Biography

Dr. Beverly Hughes joined our team in 1987. Prior to venturing into emergency medicine, Dr. Hughes spent several years as an associate doctor in private practice. Her numerous years of practicing emergency medicine has filled her with a library of knowledge in handling emergency situations. Dr. Hughes excels in communication with both clients and referring veterinarians to ensure the best possible care for all pets. Dr. Hughes has become an icon with our practice and with practices in our surrounding community.
Dr. Hughes shares her home with two dogs, Hope and Phoebe.

VCA Dekalb-Gwinnett Animal Emergency Hospital provides 24 hour emergency veterinary care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or veterinary assistants are on staff 24 hours a day.
