    Allison

Allison has been with VCA BAVS since June of 2010 and has been working in veterinary medicine for over twelve years. She has worked for VCA for over six years and has had the opportunity to work at four different VCA hospitals, starting at VCA Mission San Jose Animal Hospital in Fremont, CA in 2003. She helped-out at another hospital in San Jose, CA for six months, and then worked in West Sacramento, CA for one year.

Allison grew up in the Bay Area and I has always had a love of animals. Growing up, her family had cats and once Allison began working in veterinary medicine, the family's home pet population expanded greatly. She currently has birds, cats, dogs, horses and turtles. Allison has a huge fondness for cats and dogs that are brachiocephalic (short muzzled), especially Persians, Himalayans and Pekingese.

Allison has always been very concerned about animal rights and their treatment and has been a member of PETA for eight years. She recently became a dietary vegan. She has rescued a horse from a organization in Walnut Creek and has since been volunteering her time and services.
