Dr. Mary Buelow joins staff at Animal Specialty Center

Animal Specialty Center is very pleased to announce that Mary Buelow, DVM is joining our hospital's veterinary team as of August 11, 2011. Dr. Buelow's practice is limited to dentistry and oral surgery, and she offers advanced procedures including oral surgery (jaw fracture repair and oral tumor management), advanced periodontal and endodontic therapy, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, and orthodontics.
Dr. Buelow graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Following graduation, she began her career as a general practitioner first in Cincinnati, Ohio for two years, followed by a busy general, emergency, and specialty practice in Yonkers, NY, where she began to focus on the field of dentistry. For three years, she worked closely with a local board-certified veterinary dentist and attended advanced dentistry courses and forums to broaden her knowledge in the field.
In 2009, Dr. Buelow began an American College of Veterinary Dentistry approved veterinary dental and oral surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, working under the direct supervision of Dr. Sandra Manfra Marretta, one of the founders and pioneers in the field of veterinary dentistry. Having completed her residency, Dr. Buelow has returned to practice in the New York City and Southern Connecticut regions.�She is looking forward to working with our hospital and providing advanced veterinary dentistry services for our clients' pets.�
