    Ren began her veterinary career in 2002, she is also a United States Navy Veteran. Ren enjoys a noisy and busy life with her wonderful husband and two beautiful little girls. Their family pets include four dogs, a turtle, sugar glider and three fish tanks. In October of 2015 Ren was honored for her 13 years in emergency medicine!

    Serena B.

    Serena joined our team in 2013 working part time as a recepionist. She attended Alvin Community College studying vascular sonography. She likes all aspects of the veterinary field, but loves to work with large breed canines.Serena has 9 horses, 5 dogs, 2 cats and 2 birds. She has shown AQHA horses since she was 6 years old. She has two sisters who also work in the veterinary field.

    Barbara F.
    School: Nursing School, LVN

    Barbara began her veterinary career in 1977 where she worked for a veterinary clinic in Spring Branch. She has always loved animals, especially horses. She began working here at the emergency hospital in August 1988. Barbara went back to school in 1994 and received her LVN license. She began working at a human medical clinic, but stayed with the emergency hospital part time. Barbara says, "I have met good people here that have been here for many years, our emergency hospital is a fast pace caring place for the love of animals/owners, where employees and doctors get to know each other on a professional level and also as friends. Between my jobs, family, pets and farm, I stay busy, but would not change a thing. All good things are possible through Jesus Christ. That's my story and I'm sticking to it." In October of 2015 Barbara was honored with an award for 27 years in emergency medicine!

    Adriana joined us in August of 2014. She is also a Certified Medical Assistant and works for a human surgeon. Adriana and her Husband were married in 2014 and they have one rescue dog named Remy Valentine who is a Lab/Rottweiler mix.

    School: San Jacinto College

    Stephanie began her veterinary career here with us in August of 2008. She is currently attending San Jacinto College studying human Medical Imaging to become a Radiologic technologist / Mammography technologist where she will graduate in May 2015. Stephanie is very passionate about animals and helping them in any way she can, therefore she will stay here with us to help out when she can even after she graduates! She lives in Pasadena with her boyfriend, 5 year old son and two dogs. Stephanie has a mastiff named "Shadow" and a pit bull rescue named "Baby". All her "babies" mean the world to her!

Emergency Care

In case of emergency, please come to our hospital or call us immediately. We are at 10331 Gulf Freeway Houston, TX 77034. Our phone number is 713-941-8460. We are open weeknights from 6pm - 8am and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. We are located on the north-bound (east) side of I-45, just past the Edgebrook exit.

North-Bound - Take the Edgebrook exit, stay on the feeder road. Go through the light and we are on the right just past the mexican food restaurant.

South-Bound - Take the Edgebrook exit. U-Turn lane under the freeway, which will put you on the north-bound feeder. We are past the mexican food restaurant on the right hand side.


  1. Remain Calm... You are doing the best for your pet by taking steps to help.
  2. Call Your Family Veterinarian first...If they are unavailable, come on in or call us!
  3. Tell Us The Nature Of The Problem...We will give you instructions on how to handle your pet while en-route and give you directions to the hospital.
  4. Be Careful... When injured and scared, even a loving pet may bite. If in doubt, gently place a towel or blanket over the head making sure to provide good air circulation for breathing. This will help settle the animal.
