  • Great Staff and Excellent Care

    -Holly Singleton from Dickinson, TX
    Pet Name: Gracie

Our Gracie girl got into our other dog's medicine on a Friday night and ate almost the whole bottle. We brought her in, but despite their best efforts, our little Gracie's kidneys failed and we had to put her to sleep Monday morning. It was a very emotional and stressful weekend for us. We called for updates and visited numerous times daily and not once did the staff ever make us feel bad or like we were a burden. They took excellent care of her while she was there. A special thanks to Dr. Page who we dealt with the majority of our experience. She was honest with us about the prognosis from the start, but very kind and compassionate and kept us well informed. She was also there with us the morning we had to make the tough decision to say goodbye and was very patient with us while we visited with Gracie. Although all of the technicians were great, a special thanks to Amanda who we dealt with a lot when we visited and was wonderful and also Britteny and Gabrielle who were there Monday morning with us and went out of their way to accomidate us and were very kind on that tough morning. Our hearts our broken that we lost our baby girl but she could not have been in better hands. We truly appreciate it.

  • Caring Team of Professionals

-S. Burke from Nassau Bay, TX
    Pet Name: Bear

On Feb. 3, 2013, I arrived at the VCA SE Calder Rd. Animal Emer. Hosp. with my 14-year old cat, Bear, who had been at his reg. vet. 2 days earlier for an ongoing condition but continued to decline. We checked in and were soon seen by a very caring technician and shortly thereafter by Dr. Head who quickly evaluated, diagnosed, and set up a treatment plan for Bear. Dr. Head assured me that he could help Bear, so it was agreed Bear would spend the night for treatment. Having just spent $400 for basically nothing at Bear's reg. vet., the cost was more than planned, but I'm grateful that the VCA facility is available and staffed by a caring team of professionals. Many thanks to all involved in Bear's care, especially Dr. Head who even provided the name of a local vet. appropriate to manage Bear's ongoing chronic condition. I would not hesitate to refer others to this location. Many thanks from Bear and his "Mom."

  • Excellent care

    -Teresa Cox from Rosharon, TX
    Pet Name: Bennett

Our dog was bitten by a poisonous snake. We called while we were on our way so we when arrived (after being greeted by a wonderful and caring person at the counter) the doctor explained the treatment options, letting us know the cost for each option. After we picked the treatment option, the doctor explained step by step what was going to happen. We had to leave him overnight. The doctor encourage us to call often to check on him. When we did, I never felt like the staff was getting tired of me calling. The staff was very caring, understanding and knowledgeable.
