Biography
Dr. Gorgi graduated from Ross University and completed his senior year of veterinary school at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gorgi was honored with multiple awards during his veterinary education. He then completed an Internship at The University of Georgia and a three-year veterinary Neurology/Neurosurgery Residency at The Ohio State University and University of Missouri.
Dr. Gorgi has lectured on a variety of neurology topics in local, national, and foreign scientific meetings and has published articles in scientific journals. He has been actively involved with multiple research projects. Dr. Gorgi is interested in all aspects of clinical neurology and neurosurgery, but his special areas of interest include surgical management of congenital spinal disorders, surgical treatment of spinal and brain tumors, meningoencephalitides, and neuro-imaging.
Dr. Gorgi has daily access to cross sectional imaging (MRI and CT scan) and offers a full range of diagnostics procedures such as electrodiagnostics (EMG, nerve conduction studies, BAER (hearing test), etc.), myelography, CSF tap, muscle and nerve biopsies, brain biopsies, etc. Dr. Gorgi is available for surgically approachable treatment of spinal and brain disorders such as intervertebral disc disease, brain and spinal tumors, caudal occipital malformation syndrome (COMS), wobbler’s syndrome, spinal luxation/fractures, etc.
