COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE DEPARTMENT
Our animal hospital offers a variety of treatment options that fall outside of conventional veterinary medicine. Complementary and alternative pet therapies are not meant to replace conventional therapies, but to work in concert with your pet's current medical treatment. Some of our offerings include veterinary acupuncture, chiropractic care, hyperbaric and rehabilitation therapy.
Our hospital offers the following services:
Chiropractic Care which refers to the practice of manipulating the spine to treat disease. When the bones of the spine (vertebrae) are not aligned correctly, the joint, muscle, nerve, connective tissue, blood flow, and function of an area can be affected.
Acupuncture which is believed to balance this energy and, thereby, assist the body to heal.
Physical Rehabilitation uses therapeutic exercises combined with additional modalities such as hydrotherapy, cryotherapy and neuromuscular electrical stimulation to improve the recovery of patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
