In 2011 Alameda East welcomed a next-generation MRI with 1.0 Tesla superconducting magnet, for superior image clarity and rapid image capture.  A board-certified radiologist is scheduled to be on-site 7 days a week.  We're the only Denver area diagnostic imaging center to offer such comprehensive coverage. 

The 1.0 T MRI supports our specialists in neurology, oncology, surgery, and internal medicine:

  • Neurology:  Confirms neurolocalization and characterizes disease processes of the brain and spinal cord.
  • Oncology:  Determines tumor invasiveness and aids oncological staging.
  • Surgery:  Contributes to pre-surgical planning and diagnosis of orthopedic disorders.
  • Internal Medicine:  Optimizes evaluation of upper airway system and abdominal organs.

VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital has been providing 24-hour emergency care to the community since 1971.  Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, there is experienced veterinary staff on site.  With our capable staff and advanced medical/surgical capabilities we are able to provide a wide range of lifesaving procedures to treat the seriously ill or injured animal.
